TTOS April 2010 Monthly Meeting

This meeting will be held on Sunday April 18th 2010 at 10.00 am at the Office of Claude A. Benjamin and Associates at 23 to 25 Circular Road, San Fernando.
Members coming from the north will turn off the Solomon Hochoy Highway at the Tarouba Exit leading to the Bye-Pass then make a right turn at the traffic lights onto the St. Joseph Road, follow this road to the end then make a left onto a short intersection which leads to Circular Road, turn right onto this road driving along, you will pass Puff and Stuff Bakery, keep to the left as you go up an incline until you reach the Church of Nazarene on the right and obliquely opposite will be a driveway leading to the meeting place.
Members coming from the south can access from the Bye-Pass at Cocoyea Roundabout going west into San Fernando then turn into Circular Road at the traffic lights.

Those coming from within San Fernando can travel along the Point-a Pierre Road turn right into Cain Street at the Vista Bella Presbyterian School and make a 'U' turn at Puff and Stuff Bakery.
This meeting will feature the monthly show table, so do bring along your flowing Orchids.

Spring Orchid Show 2010

The Society's annual Spring Orchid Show will be held at the San Fernando Technical Institute in San Fernando on Saturday May 1st and Sunday May 2nd 2010.
The Chairperson for the Show is Mr. Keshan Latchman and the co-Chairperson is Mr.Gopaul Chackan.
This Show will feature displays/exhibits within the entire auditorium comprising of small, medium and large exhibits.
Single- entry exhibits will also be on display. Exhibits will be staged by sister socities, environmental organizations and the Ministry of Agriculture.
There will be vendors selling orchid plants and horticultural supplies.

Entry for Judging / Official Opening

The entry desk will be set up in the show hall to receive entries of Orchid flowers and plants from 2.00 pm to 9.00 pm on Thursday April 29th 2010, no entries will be accepted after 9.00 pm.
Judging of exhibits will commence on Friday April 30th 2010, judging will be along the same format that is used for monthly show table judging.

The Show committee requires assistance from members for the Sale of Tickets (door) and the Information Booth for both days of the show. There will also be lectures at the Show on both days. The Show will feature a Tea and Refreshment Stall to allow patrons to purchase refreshments.

The official opening of the Show is on Friday April 30th 2010 at 6.30 pm; the cost is $40.00 per person for refreshments and viewing the Show.

Tickets for both days of the Show are available from the Treasurer Gervais de Matas and other members of the Management committee
Entry to the Show will be free to members on presentation of their Membership Card 2009/2010. Members whose subscriptions are not up to date should contact the Treasurer Mr. Gervais de Matas to regularize their status.
