Meeting Notice for December 2005
TTOS
congratulates the Trinidad and Tobago Soca Warriors on qualifying for the
2006 World Cup in Germany.
TTOS congratulates Brian Charles Lara on breaking yet another world record:
the highest number of runs by a batsman in test cricket.
The December
2005 Monthly Meeting will be held on Sunday 18th at 10.00 a.m. at the H.S.T.T.
Building on Lady Chancellor Road, Port-of-Spain.
The highlight
of this meeting will be a Christmas Brunch. Tickets for this Brunch are available
from Committee Members. Music will be supplied by Mr. Elbourne and there will
be entertainment by Parang Serenaders. In the spirit of the season there will
be an exchange of gifts, members are encouraged to bring along a gift for
exchange. We are also inviting members and other interested persons consider
having a sale stall, so be prepared also to do a little Christmas Shopping.
The prize distribution of trophies, medals, awards, replica trophies and Phostrogen
Fertilizers won at the October 2005 Orchid Show will be handed out.

A course in
Orchid Photography conducted by renowned photographer Mr. William Aguiton,
and a course in Floral Arranging are now being arranged. Members who are
interested in participating in these courses are asked to contact the Secretary,
Gopaul Chackan by the middle of December, 2005.

Trophies
Members who are in possession of Trophies won at last year's show must return
these trophies, cleaned and polished, to the Secretary by no later than August
21st, 2005. This is required in preparation for the award of trophies at this
year's show.
Library
Corner
Our Librarian will be present at monthly meetings in his corner, and members
are requested to return all overdue books. New members please note that the
facility of the Library is available to all members and we encourage you to
utilize its services rated as one of the best Orchid Libraries in the Caribbean.
