February 2011 monthly meeting
The meeting will be a fun day at Kerry Latchman's family
facilities at Los Iros on Sunday February 20th 2011. Members are required
to bring along their lunch, water, ice and any other refreshments they
may require. Bring along your family and let us have a fun day.
Directions to the venue:
Traveling on the main road you will pass Debe, Penal, Siparia and Santa
Flora the entrance to the facilities is ten (10) minutes from Santa Flora
where the road ends at the beach. At the entrance to the facilities there
is a guard booth and some little huts on the property which is on the
left hand side. If you are still unable to locate the place you can contact
Kerry Latchman at 868-389-8210 for further directions.
Barbados Orchid Society Orchid Show 2011
Members wishing to send flowers for the Society's display
and also who are entering their flowers for judging, are required to have
these flowers at the HSTT headquarters on Wednesday March 16th 2011 by
10.00am
Members can contact the following committee members: Gopaul Chackan at
868-657-5682 (south) Joan Hampton at 868-665-9021(central) and Diane Huggins
868-632-8147 (north) for collection of flowers.
Members are also requested to furnish a listing of the flowers that are
to be entered for judging, (print in bold letters name of the flower and
name of the owner) this listing is required by the Barbados Orchid Society
Show Committee for registration of the flowers that will be entered for
judging.
The Society would like as many flowers as possible for the display so
do send your flowing orchids, we would like to have a great display.
Members who are traveling to Barbados for this event are required to contact
the organizing committee: Gopaul Chackan Sharon Ramjit-Mohammed and Diane
Huggins.
Spring Orchid Show 2011
The Spring Orchid Show 2011 will take place at the San
Fernando Technical Institute in San Fernando on Saturday April 30th 2011
and Sunday May 1st 2011
The Show chairpersons are Sharon Ramjit-Mohammed and Kerry Latchman.
