The TTOS Management Committee is pleased to announce resumption of monthly meetings. Unfortunately inclement weather caused the cancellation of the planned June Meeting.

The  July Meeting will be held on Sunday July 24th at 10 AM at the St. Augustine YWCA on Gordon Street, St Augustine. All Covid protocols will be  observed, please wear masks if you feel it necessary according to your situation, temperature checks and hand sanitizing will be required. There will be no catering but  bottled water will be provided.

Directions:

- turn off the Eastern Main Road  on to Warren Street (Warren Street is on the north side of the Eastern Main Road between the St Augustine Massey Store and the Lakshmi Girl's Hindu College)

- continue north on Warren Street to Gordon Street ( a dead end)

-turn left and the YWCA is the second building on your left and there is a sign. Parking is available in the yard.

The Agenda for the meeting will be

1) Review of Management activity since March 2020.

2) Overview of the TTOS Bye-Laws

3) Presentation of the Show Table

4) General discussion on future Society activity.

Please note there will be a fee of $10 for guests.  Members are reminded they may bring up to 10 orchid plants for sale to a meeting once the meeting is not held at a member's home or a nursery.

The AGM is now scheduled for August 21, 2022 at the St Augustine YWCA. Directions will be provided again in the August circular. According to the TTOS Bylaws (an electronic copy was sent to all TTOS members in June of 2020) the election will be for the posts of President, Secretary, Assistant Treasurer and two committee members. Persons for the first 3 posts must be nominated by July 31, 2022 and Committee Members can be nominated on the day. The posts of Vice President, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary will be elected in 2023.

Persons nominated must be financial members and those nominating and seconding the nomination must also be financial members. Written Nominations must be received at the July Meeting or by email to trinidadandtobagoorchidsociety@gmail.com by July 31, 2022.
