TTOS November 2007 Meeting
This month's meeting will be held on Sunday November 18th 2007 at 10.00 a.m. at the Caroni Swamp Visitors Wildlife Centre. To get to this venue you turn off the Uriah Butler Highway onto the Caroni Flyover exit and proceed west onto the road leading to the Caroni Swamp and the visitors centre.

This meeting promises to be an interesting one. There will be the monthly show table and two presentations; Mrs. Sharon Laurent will give an overview of membership in the American Orchid Society (AOS) and benefits to be derived and Mr. Alexander Gibson will speak on Cattleyas highlighting new and recent trends in hybridizing in this group.

We will reconvene the Annual General Meeting following its adjournment in July 2007 to complete the Financial Report for the period June 2006 to May 2007.

Arrangements are being made with tour operators for boat tours for members and their guests wishing to visit the swamp.

TTOS December 2007 Monthly Meeting
The meeting will be held on Sunday December 16th 2007 at 10.00 a.m. at the Horticultural Society Building on Lady Chancellor Road, Port-of-Spain. Again, this meeting promises to be very interesting with the highlights being An Awards Ceremony in commemoration of the Society's Fiftieth Anniversary and the serving of a sumptuous Christmas lunch. More details of the meeting will be given in the December newsletter. Tickets for the December Awards Ceremony and Christmas Lunch will be available at the November 2007 meeting. Seating at this venue is limited and there are a limited number of tickets available so members please book your tickets early.

HSTT Annual Plant Sale
The HSTT plant sale will take place on Saturday 24th November 2007 from 6.00 am to 1.00 pm. Please patronize this sale by our Sister Society and at the same time take advantage of the bargains.
