2015 Monthly Meeting
This month's monthly meeting will be held on Sunday September 27th, 2015
at 10.00am at headquarters of the Horticultural Society of Trinidad &
Tobago Lady Chancellor Road, Port of Spain.
Monthly Show Table
There will be the usual monthly show table so do bring along your flowering
orchids to be judged.
Monthly Plant Raffle
There will be a raffle of an orchid. The price is one (1) chance for $5.00
Cultural Topic.
Topic for September monthly meeting will be a short talk on preparing
your flowering plants for our Orchid Show in October.
Annual Orchid Show 2015
This year's Annual Orchid Show will be held on Saturday October 31st and
Sunday November 1st 2015 at the Ambassador Hotel, 99A Long Circular Road,
St. James.
The theme for this year's show is "Orchids! Christmas in October".
All members are encouraged to support the Show by displaying and exhibiting
their plants and blooms. Advanced tickets will be available.
All interested vendors are asked to make an extra effort to attend as
their vending contracts will be available and payment should be made on
this day for their booth. Cut off date for Vending is October 10th, 2015.
Assistance at the upcoming Show
The Show Committee is appealing to all members to lend their support and
assistance at this show.
Persons willing to assist can contact Anis Baig at 350-7539.
Other Business
On 8th September, Caryle McMillian resigned from the Management Committee
as President. Secretary - Brigitta Cariel, Vice President - Michael Green
and Committee Members - Joel Kennedy and AnnMarie Elliot also resigned
from the Management Committee. We will like to thank each person for dedicating
their time and efforts towards serving on the Committee.
According to Section 6 of the constitution, Anis Baig was ratified as
President and Robin Naipaul as Vice President. To fill additional vacancies
on management Diane Huggins was appointed as Secretary and Gopaul Chackan
as a Committee Member.
