Sepals and petals vary from greenish yellow to pale yellow with varying intensity of red-purple markings at apex.
There is variable fimbriation of lip lobes which vary fromwhite to yellow with purple spotting.

Epiphytic. Grows in erect clumps up to 2 metres tall. Subterete stems bear many leaves on their upper half with terminal arching or pendulous inflorescences emerging from compressed sheaths. They bear up to thirty flowers.
