Flower Colour and Size:
Sepals and petals base colour is shades of olive green with fine brown spotting. Lips have varying shades from pale lilac to bright mauve.
Flowering Period:
October to May
General Description:
Epiphyte with broad leathery leaves up to 40 cm. in length closely spaced on a creeping rhizome. Flower spike with 5 to 30 flowers emerges from the center of the leaf. For botanical description see Native Orchids of Trinidad and Tobago Schultes
Habitat:
Tall immortelle trees in swampy areas on the south western peninsula of Trinidad from sea level to 100 metres.
